Description

I think about AFTER 10 MINUTES LINES as a film dealing with time and depth, a film that manipulates the properties of film (color, shape, movement, etc.) and that operates on a quiet level, one of repetition and minutes variations. The subject matter is the passage of time as measured on two complementary scales - clock time, defined in minutes and seconds and linear time, defined by the length of filmstrip traveling through the projector system. Specific temporal and linear segments are regularly indicated by the distinctive tones and visual signals which collide to make chords and rhythm patterns. (Roberta Friedman)
