Description

Much artwork has been done during the past decade which is concerned with the idea of ritual. It IS ritual, and therefore, summons the range of subliminal and conscious element that must be dragged up from often frightening places with grappling hooks forged in regions where the properties of academic, political, social or artistic manners are invalid or meaningless. Through this direct process, Chris Regan has not only made a meaningful work of academic, political, social and artistic validity, but also a work that becomes part of the archetypal language of myth and ritual. -- Dennis Phillips
