Biography
Dan Kuramoto, composer/musician, has long been associated with Visual Communications, serving on its first Board of Directors. His numerous musical credits include the scores for ZOOT SUIT, Walt Disney's COMPUTERS ARE PEOPLE TOO, and BEAN SPROUTS: TRY YOU'LL LIKE IT which won him an Emmy. He is also credited with scoring 'WATARIDORI: BIRDS OF PASSAGE, KITES AND OTHER TALES, the critically-acclaimed HITO HATA: RAISE THE BANNER and YUKI SHIMODA: ASIAN-AMERICAN ACTOR. Also a member of the jazz fusion band, 'Hiroshima,' Dan-along with the band members June Kuramoto and Johnny Mori-were profiled in the Visual Communications film CRUISIN' J-TOWN.
