Robert Mitchell attended the UCLA Animation workshop in the 1950s where he made his first animated work, ANDREW, A SORT OF A STORY.' After graduating from UCLA, he worked for a number of design and animation studios, including the Haboush Company where he made several short films and commercials. Though he remains uncredited, Mitchell is believed to have worked on YELLOW SUBMARINE. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the Animated Short category 1970 for 'The Further Adventures of Uncle Sam: Part Two,' a film he had independently produced. Mitchell died unexpectedly at the age of 51, perhaps due to complications from malaria, which he had contracted a few years earlier. For a more detailed biography, please consult 'Robert A.
